Glowing cancer cells: new scanner aims to end repeat breast surgeries

NCT ID NCT07352930

Summary

This study is testing a new scanner that makes leftover cancer cells glow during breast-conserving surgery. The goal is to help surgeons see and remove all the cancer in one operation, reducing the need for patients to have a second surgery. Researchers will compare results from surgeries using the scanner to standard procedures to see if it's more effective.
