Wake-Up call: can a simple drug speed recovery from surgery sleep?

NCT ID NCT05939674

Summary

This study is testing whether giving a drug called flumazenil helps elderly patients wake up faster and more safely after receiving a specific anesthesia medicine (remimazolam) for hip surgery. Researchers will compare recovery times and side effects in two small groups of patients over 65. The goal is to find out if using this reversal drug routinely is helpful or if it causes its own problems.
