Simple IV fluid switch could improve brain bleed recovery

NCT ID NCT04043598

Summary

This study is testing whether the type of IV fluid given to patients after a serious brain bleed affects their recovery. Researchers are comparing a salt-rich fluid (normal saline) to a more balanced fluid (lactated Ringer's) to see which one better prevents dangerous blood vessel spasms and brain swelling. The goal is to find a simple, standard treatment that could reduce complications and improve long-term outcomes for these critically ill patients.
