Simple IV fluid swap could make delicate heart surgery safer

NCT ID NCT07329660

Summary

This study aims to see if giving one type of IV fluid instead of another right before putting a patient to sleep for a heart valve replacement (TAVR) can help keep their blood pressure more stable. It will compare two common fluids in about 116 patients. The goal is to reduce dangerous drops in blood pressure during this critical part of the surgery to improve safety and recovery.
