Do IV fluids clog veins? heart patient study seeks answers
NCT ID NCT07183397
Summary
This study aims to understand if giving IV fluids to critically ill heart patients helps them or causes harmful fluid backup in their veins. Researchers will track 250 patients after heart surgery to see if this fluid treatment is linked to vein congestion and kidney problems. They will use ultrasound scans to measure vein pressure daily for a week.
