Summary
This study looked at 159 kidney transplant patients to compare two types of IV fluids given during the first week after surgery. The goal was to see which fluid better prevents electrolyte imbalances and helps the new kidney work well. Patients received either Ringer lactate or normal saline with dextrose water, and the researchers measured blood bicarbonate levels and other health markers.
