Scientists probe immune health in BRCA carriers using flu shot

NCT ID NCT04499534

Summary

This study aims to understand how BRCA1 or BRCA2 gene mutations affect the immune system's response to the seasonal flu vaccine. Researchers are enrolling 50 healthy adults with these mutations but no cancer history to measure their antibody levels before and after vaccination. The goal is to learn whether these genetic changes impact overall immune health and vaccine effectiveness.
