First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 26, 2026 · Updated 36 times

Summary

This study tested whether sending text message reminders to patients and adding automatic flu shot orders for doctors could increase vaccination rates in adults aged 50 and older. Over 26,000 people took part across primary care clinics. The goal was to see if these simple "nudges" help more people get their annual flu vaccine during the fall and winter months.
