First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether a single pill containing three medicines (paracetamol for pain and fever, fexofenadine for allergy-like symptoms, and phenylephrine for nasal congestion) works better than a placebo at relieving flu and cold symptoms. 567 adults with moderate to severe symptoms took either the combo pill or a placebo. The goal was to see if symptoms like stuffy nose, cough, and headache improved more with the combo.
