Summary
This study looks at whether an antibiotic called rifaximin can improve how well the blood thinner ticagrelor works in people who have had a heart attack. The idea is that unhealthy gut bacteria might make the drug less effective. The study will include 50 adults who have had a heart attack in the past year and are currently taking ticagrelor. Researchers will measure changes in blood clotting to see if the antibiotic helps.
