First seen Nov 14, 2025 · Last updated Apr 27, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study tests a new magnetic device (Flexagon SFM) that helps surgeons create a connection between the stomach and small intestine during gastric surgery. The goal is to see if the device works safely without needing a second surgery. About 75 adults who need this type of stomach surgery will take part. The device is designed to form the connection on its own using magnets, which may reduce complications and speed up recovery.
