Could fish oil help kids recover from cancer treatment?

NCT ID NCT02512718

Summary

This study tested if giving children an intravenous (IV) fish oil supplement during a stem cell transplant is safe. The goal was to see if this special nutrition could help control common side effects like inflammation and high blood fats, potentially reducing infections and other complications. Twenty children were randomly assigned to receive either the fish oil IV or the standard soybean oil IV to compare safety and tolerability.
