Fish fear: why pregnant women are confused about What's safe to eat

NCT ID NCT01178398

Summary

This study aimed to understand why many pregnant women avoid eating fish, despite it being a healthy source of important nutrients for baby brain development. Researchers talked to 22 pregnant women in Boston who ate little fish to learn about their knowledge, the advice they received, and what stops them from eating more. The goal was to use this information to create clearer guidance and materials to help pregnant women safely include beneficial fish in their diet.
