Age matters: study tests how fisetin acts in young vs. old bodies

NCT ID NCT06796374

First seen Apr 24, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 3 times

Summary

This study looks at how the natural supplement fisetin is processed in healthy young adults (18-30 years) compared to healthy older adults (65+ years). Researchers will give a single 500 mg dose of fisetin to 80 volunteers, some fasting and some after a meal, then measure its levels in the blood. The goal is to understand if age affects how the body handles fisetin, which may guide future research on aging.
