Summary
This was the first study in humans to test the safety of a new oral drug called HOPO 14-1. The drug is designed to help remove radioactive materials from the body after accidental exposure. The study involved 42 healthy volunteers who took single, increasing doses to see how their bodies handled the drug and to check for side effects.
