First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a new flexible brain probe in 5 adults already scheduled for brain surgery to remove a tumor or epileptic tissue. The goal was to see if the probe could be safely inserted and record electrical signals from the brain. Participants had the probe placed into the tissue being removed and returned for a 30-day checkup. The study did not aim to treat any condition, only to gather information about the device's safety and function.
