Researchers seek perfect dose for hand surgery pain block

Summary
This study aims to find the smallest effective dose of the numbing drug ropivacaine for a nerve block used during hand and forearm surgery. About 56 adults undergoing these surgeries will receive the block targeting a specific nerve root in the neck. The goal is to achieve complete numbness and muscle relaxation while using the lowest possible dose to reduce side effects.
