Summary
This study looked for undiagnosed type 2 diabetes in over 5,000 adults visiting the emergency room. Researchers used a standard blood test (HbA1c) to find patients with high blood sugar who didn't know they had diabetes. The goal was to see how common hidden diabetes is in ER patients and to help start treatment early.
