Can movies teach doctors to feel? university tests new course
NCT ID NCT07399366
Summary
This study is testing whether a 14-week elective course using films and discussions about social justice can help medical students become more empathetic and better at recognizing emotions. About 60 volunteer students will participate, with some taking the course and others serving as a comparison group. Researchers will measure changes in empathy and emotional awareness using questionnaires before and after the semester to see if the course makes a difference.
