Fiji launches major study to track dangerous viruses spreading through communities

NCT ID NCT07229677

Summary

This study aims to understand how mosquito-borne viruses (like dengue and Zika) and respiratory viruses (like COVID-19 and flu) spread through communities in Fiji. Researchers will follow about 900 people from 210 households for over three years, collecting blood samples and health information during annual visits. The goal is to track infection patterns and immunity levels to help Fiji prepare for future disease outbreaks.
