First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 09, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding change-of-direction (COD) training to the standard FIFA 11+ warm-up program could lower a key risk factor for ACL knee injuries in male soccer players. Twelve players completed the training, and researchers measured their knee angle during cutting movements before and after. The goal was to see if the combined program could reduce the risky knee position that often leads to ACL tears.
