First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 28 times

Summary

This study looked at whether people with fibromyalgia have early, hidden heart problems. Researchers used a special ultrasound test called global longitudinal strain (GLS) to measure heart function in 59 fibromyalgia patients and 59 healthy volunteers. The goal was to see if fibromyalgia is linked to early heart changes that standard tests might miss.
