Scientists probe why fibromyalgia patients struggle with balance
NCT ID NCT06851091
Summary
This study aims to understand the connection between heightened pain sensitivity (central sensitization) and balance problems in people with fibromyalgia. Researchers will compare 55 patients with fibromyalgia to 20 healthy volunteers, measuring their pain thresholds and balance performance. The goal is to gather knowledge that could inform future rehabilitation strategies, not to test a new treatment.
