Study reveals hidden risk in common Women's surgery
NCT ID NCT07365969
Summary
This study looked back at the medical records of 293 women who had surgery to remove uterine fibroids (non-cancerous growths) at a specific hospital. The main goal was to find out how often surgeons had to perform a full hysterectomy (removing the uterus) instead of just removing the fibroids, which was the original plan. Researchers also checked for any complications that happened within 30 days after the surgery.
