First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This study tests whether a concentrated clotting medicine (fibrinogen) can better control heavy bleeding during surgery for pseudomyxoma peritonei, a rare tumor in the abdomen. About 90 adults will be randomly assigned to receive either the study drug or a standard blood product. The goal is to see if the drug improves surgical success and reduces complications.
