First seen Jan 08, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looked at 120 adults aged 20 to 40 with large cavities in their back teeth. Researchers compared two types of tooth-colored filling materials—one with tiny fibers and one that can be placed in a single layer—to see how well they held up over 4 years. The goal was to find out which material works better for rebuilding the inner part of the tooth.
