Summary
This study is testing whether a special high-fiber supplement can help reduce severe diarrhea caused by a common colon cancer chemotherapy drug. Researchers want to see if improving gut bacteria health with this supplement allows patients to better tolerate their full chemotherapy doses. The trial involves 42 people with advanced colon cancer who are receiving the drug irinotecan.
