Summary
This study looked at whether adding a special fiber and probiotic supplement to standard care could improve gut health, immune function, and nutrition in 80 people with advanced colorectal cancer who were also malnourished. Participants took the supplement for 12 weeks while receiving chemotherapy. The goal was to see if this simple addition could help their bodies fight cancer better and improve their overall health.
