First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 25 times
Summary
This study tested whether taking the allergy medicine fexofenadine for two days before ragweed season starts can reduce symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. 95 adults with ragweed allergies were randomly given either fexofenadine or a placebo. The results suggest that starting the medicine early may help control allergy symptoms better than waiting until symptoms appear.
