Could fewer needle sticks accurately find prostate cancer?

NCT ID NCT05998278

Summary

This study is testing a new, personalized method for performing prostate biopsies that aims to use fewer needle sticks. Researchers want to see if this 'reduced-core' method can find prostate cancer just as well as the standard method, while causing less pain, bleeding, and risk of infection. Men suspected of having prostate cancer will be randomly assigned to receive either the new personalized biopsy or the standard biopsy to compare the results.
