Summary
This study aims to find out if a single antibiotic (amoxicillin-clavulanate) works as well as a two-antibiotic combination for treating fever that occurs in adult blood cancer patients after chemotherapy. It will involve 1,526 participants who have lymphoma, myelodysplasia, or acute myeloblastic leukemia. The goal is to see if the simpler treatment is just as effective while potentially reducing side effects and antibiotic resistance.
