Doctors test Life-Saving fetal surgery for babies with severe lung condition
NCT ID NCT05461222
Summary
This study is testing a fetal surgery procedure called FETO to help babies with severe congenital diaphragmatic hernia (CDH) survive after birth. During pregnancy, doctors temporarily place a tiny balloon in the baby's windpipe to help the lungs develop. The study will track whether babies who receive this surgery survive to hospital discharge and beyond, compared to standard care.
