NCT ID NCT07188324

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 12, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study tested whether measuring the length of a fetus's kidney during an ultrasound scan could be a reliable way to determine how far along a pregnancy is, especially in the later stages. Researchers enrolled 100 healthy pregnant women with normal, single pregnancies to compare kidney length measurements against traditional ultrasound methods and the mother's reported last menstrual period. The goal was to see if this measurement could help doctors more accurately date pregnancies when the timing is uncertain, which is important for managing certain maternal or fetal health conditions.
