Baby pictures calm High-Risk moms: simple image viewing cuts stress, boosts sleep
NCT ID NCT07260838
Summary
This study tested whether showing ultrasound or other fetal images to high-risk pregnant women during hospital stays could reduce their stress and improve sleep. Researchers worked with 70 women who were hospitalized for high-risk pregnancies, showing half of them baby images three times daily for two days while the other half received no special intervention. They found that viewing the images helped lower pregnancy-related stress and led to better reported sleep quality for the mothers.
