New scan agent could sharpen brain tumor detection

NCT ID NCT06474533

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study tests a special imaging agent called FET that helps spot brain tumors on PET scans. FET collects in cancer cells, making it easier to see if a tumor has come back after treatment or how aggressive it is. About 199 people with known or suspected brain tumors will take part. The goal is to see how accurate FET scans are compared to standard MRI.
