First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a special PET scan called FES PET/CT can better detect cancer that has spread to distant parts of the body in people with a certain type of stage III breast cancer. The cancer must be low-grade and estrogen receptor-positive. About 85 adults will receive the scan, and researchers will measure how often it finds distant metastases compared to standard methods. The goal is to improve detection and guide treatment decisions.
