Kidney disease drug tested in children for safety

NCT ID NCT04523727

Summary

This study aims to check the safety and side effects of a medication called ferric citrate in children aged 6 to 17 who have high phosphate levels because of chronic kidney disease. The trial will follow 45 children for 36 weeks to see how well they tolerate the drug and monitor for any problems. This is not a cure; it's a treatment to help manage a complication of kidney disease.
