Can fermented foods fight metabolic syndrome?

NCT ID NCT06587958

Summary

This study tested whether a diet rich in fermented plant foods could improve heart and metabolic health better than a similar non-fermented diet or a person's regular diet. It involved 89 adults with metabolic syndrome, who tried each diet for six weeks. Researchers measured blood markers for inflammation, blood sugar, and cholesterol to see which diet worked best.
