New drug combo trial offers hope for liver disease patients
NCT ID NCT06174402
Summary
This study tested whether adding fenofibrate to the standard treatment (ursodeoxycholic acid) helps people with primary biliary cholangitis, a chronic liver disease. Researchers measured whether the combination improves liver blood tests and reduces symptoms like itching and fatigue. The trial involved 184 adults whose current treatment wasn't fully controlling their condition.
