First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study compared two common nerve blocks—Erector Spinae Plane (ESP) and Fascia Iliaca Compartment (FIC)—for pain control in 92 adults having thigh bone surgery. The goal was to see which block provides longer pain relief, reduces the need for strong painkillers, and helps patients recover faster. Both blocks are safe and already used in hospitals; results may help doctors choose the best option for future patients.
