New surgical rod tested to mend broken thigh bones

Summary

This study is testing a new type of surgical nail used to repair broken thigh bones (femur fractures). About 50 patients will have their broken bone fixed with this new nail, and their recovery will be tracked for 12 months. The main goal is to see if this new nail helps patients regain leg function as well as or better than older surgical methods.
