Hip fracture study compares open versus closed surgery
NCT ID NCT07299370
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 05, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looks at two ways to fix a broken hip (femoral neck fracture) in adults aged 16 to 60. One method uses a larger cut (open reduction) and the other a smaller one (closed reduction). The goal is to see which gives better bone alignment and hip function after surgery using a dynamic hip screw. Only 3 people took part, so results are very limited.
