First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study looked at two different ways to numb patients for hip fracture surgery: a lumbar plexus block and a special type of spinal anesthesia. Researchers wanted to see which method kept patients more stable and comfortable during the operation. The study included 50 adults aged 18 to 90 who needed surgery for a broken hip. Results will help doctors choose the best anesthesia for each patient.
