First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at how being in a weightless environment, like space, changes blood flow in women's reproductive organs. Twenty healthy women were placed in a head-down tilt position to mimic microgravity on Earth. Researchers used ultrasound to measure blood flow in the pelvic area and compared it to normal conditions. The goal was to learn more about how space travel affects women's health, especially for future long missions.
