First seen Feb 04, 2026 · Last updated May 19, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at 422 stroke patients with swallowing difficulties to see if a feeding tube placed through the mouth and throat helps them recover swallowing faster than the standard tube through the nose. The goal is to find which method is more effective and just as safe. Participants will be randomly assigned to one of the two feeding methods.
