Looking back: does feeding tube placement help sickest lung patients eat?

NCT ID NCT07421635

Summary

This study looked back at medical records to see if placing feeding tubes past the stomach (post-pyloric) is linked to fewer feeding problems in critically ill patients with severe lung failure (ARDS). Researchers analyzed data from 319 adult patients who were placed face-down to help them breathe. The goal was to gather knowledge to help guide future feeding practices for these very sick patients.
