Summary

This study tests a new program called PIONEER, where parents help their hospitalized infants with feeding challenges learn to eat by mouth. The goal is to see if this approach can reduce the need for long-term feeding tubes and improve swallowing reflexes. About 134 infants who are stable but rely on nasogastric tubes will take part.
