Poop transplant trial aims to boost cancer treatment in kids
NCT ID NCT07223606
Summary
This study tested if a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT), which transfers healthy gut bacteria from a donor, could help children with neuroblastoma. It was given alongside standard cancer treatments to see if fixing an imbalance in the child's gut bacteria could improve their response. The trial was for a single patient with a specific type of gut imbalance and is no longer available.
