Poop transplant trial aims to reboot cancer treatment
NCT ID NCT07432984
Summary
This study is testing if a fecal microbiota transplant (FMT), combined with an immunotherapy drug, can help patients with advanced lung cancer who have stopped responding to previous immunotherapy. The idea is that changing the gut bacteria may help restart the body's immune response against the cancer. The trial will enroll 15 patients to check the safety of this approach and see if it can shrink tumors or slow the cancer's growth.
