Poop pills fight superbugs in gut
NCT ID NCT07106580
Summary
This study is testing whether freeze-dried stool capsules from healthy donors can safely remove dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria from people's intestines. Researchers will give 48 adults either the real fecal transplant capsules or identical-looking placebo pills and monitor them for 6 months. The goal is to see if this non-antibiotic approach can clear these hard-to-treat bacteria and prevent future infections.
